GTT has been chosen to design the cryogenic fuel tanks for six new LNG fuelled container vessels.

The agreement is for the supply of fuel for Brittany Ferries’ two new-build, LNG-fuelled hybrid Ro-Pax vessels that will operate between England and France from 2025.

The equipment will be used for an LNG-powered RoRo vessel being built by Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft for the Tasmanian-based Australian shipping company, SeaRoad.

The order is for the tank design of a new LNG carrier with a total LNG tank capacity of 174 000 m3.

The companies will design, construct, and commission a new LNG service station in Tabolango, Chile.

GTT has received an order from the Chinese shipyard for the tank design of the first four LNG carriers for the Qatargas project on behalf of the ship-owner MOL.

The country is set to drive Asia’s small scale LNG liquefaction capacity additions, contributing approximately 99% of the capacity additions between 2022 and 2026, GlobalData states.

The FSRUs are intended to strengthen the security of gas supply into Germany, with the total capacity being equivalent to approximately 30% of Russian gas imports into the country.
