Under the SPA, PetroChina’s subsidiary, PCI, has agreed to purchase up to approximately 1.8 million tpy of LNG from Cheniere Marketing on an FOB basis.

TotalEnergies has announced the launch of the first phase of front-end engineering and design studies for the project.

The project is located at the CPC Taichung Phase III LNG import terminal in Taichung, Taiwan.

ConocoPhillips will acquire a 30% direct equity holding in Port Arthur Liquefaction Holdings and an LNG offtake equivalent to approximately 5 million tpy from the Port Arthur LNG project.

The project will see Twenty20 Energy replace aging diesel-based generation with high LNG and heat recovery-based generation in 12 locations around the country.

Fluor Corporation has announced that it was awarded a full notice-to-proceed contract by NFE for the engineering, procurement, and fabrication management of the NFE Fast LNG 2 project.

The agreement involves expanding the supply of natural gas to multiple facilities in Baja, Mexico, as well as creating a new LNG hub off the coast of Mexico.

Shell has been selected by QatarEnergy as a partner in the North Field East (NFE) expansion project in Qatar.

Up to 7.5 billion m3/y of natural gas are to be handled via this terminal as quickly as possible. This is approximately 8.5% of Germany’s current gas demand per year.

The companies have signed an agreement to further develop Qatar’s North Field East project, which will expand Qatar’s annual LNG capacity from 77 million t to 110 million t by 2026.
