TGE Marine Gas Engineering GmbG has been awarded the contract for a 12 000 m3 LNG bunkering barge with Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding for the design and supply of the cargo handling system.

The agreement with Japan-based NYK LNG Ship Management covers the engines and related equipment for an LNG carrier vessel, and is designed to maximise the ship’s uptime.

The order comes from its Korean partner shipyards, Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.

The new LNG import terminal, named Golar Tundra, will help safeguard Italy’s energy security and diversification.

Maran Gas has renewed its Optimised Maintenance Agreement with Wärtsilä for its fleet of LNG carriers.

The agreement is for the supply of fuel for Brittany Ferries’ two new-build, LNG-fuelled hybrid Ro-Pax vessels that will operate between England and France from 2025.

The equipment will be used for an LNG-powered RoRo vessel being built by Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft for the Tasmanian-based Australian shipping company, SeaRoad.

The order is for the tank design of a new LNG carrier with a total LNG tank capacity of 174 000 m3.
