New Fortress Energy Inc. has finalised its agreements with Petróleos Mexicanos to develop and operate an integrated upstream and natural gas liquefaction project off the coast of Veracruz in Southeastern Mexico.

The project will see Twenty20 Energy replace aging diesel-based generation with high LNG and heat recovery-based generation in 12 locations around the country.

The agreement involves expanding the supply of natural gas to multiple facilities in Baja, Mexico, as well as creating a new LNG hub off the coast of Mexico.
