LNG news in Europe

The company has announced the appointment of Elio Ruggeri as Chairman and the confirmation of Giovanni Giorgio in the role of Chief Executive Officer.

The event is taking place in Milan, Italy, from 5 - 8 September 2022.

Up to 7.5 billion m3/y of natural gas are to be handled via this terminal as quickly as possible. This is approximately 8.5% of Germany’s current gas demand per year.

The order is for the tank design of two new LNG carriers on behalf of a European ship owner.

Wood Mackenzie states that a rewriting of energy trade flows is now underway following the complete ban on Russian commodity exports.

The total capacity of the zero-emission terminal is 13.3 billion m3/y of natural gas with a send-out capacity of 21.7 Gwh/h. This corresponds to approximately 15% of Germany’s gas demand.

The auctions were for the allocation of the continuous regasification capacity, in relation to multi-year allocation processes with expression of interest, concerning gas year from 2022/2023 to gas year 2032/2033.

The three-year agreement is for supply of up to 40 000 tpy of LNG as marine fuel.

Over 40 marine fuel suppliers have gathered at Posidonia 2022 during a critical juncture as shipping fuel and lubes prices skyrocket as the geopolitical and regulatory tussles take their toll.

Equinor and Cheniere have announced a 15-year purchase agreement of approximately 1.75 million tpy of LNG starting from 2026.
