Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions Corp. (TGES) has announced that it has been awarded a contract by CPC Corp. to conduct the front-end engineering design (FEED) for an expansion project of its LNG receiving terminal at Yung An, Taiwan.

According to the statement, TGES will carry out the FEED work this year. TGES claims gas demand in Taiwan is expected to increase quickly in coming years as gas fired power plants are being encouraged due to environmental concerns.

The Yung-An LNG receiving terminal has been in operation since 1990 and has been expanded twice in the past.
