Chief Executive of PLL replaced

According to Reuters, the Chief Executive of Pakistan LNG has been replaced with immediate effect.

In an emailed statement, the company reportedly said that Adnan Gilani “will no longer be associated with PLL and we wish him the best.”

Reuters reports that Shahid Yousaf has been appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive following Gilani’s dismissal. The company said: “Mr Yousaf brings a vast and rich experience of LNG/gas sector to lead and grow the operations of the company.”

According to Reuters, the company has not explained why Gilani has been replaced, but denied reports claiming the change was linked to an anti-corruption investigation. Similarly, Gilani has not provided Reuters with any comment on the move.
