Reuters reports that the first delivery by Rosneft Trading SA (RTSA) is expected to occur in May. This follows three cargoes that were delivered by the unit to Egypt in 2016.
The company reportedly said that the agreement will help to strengthen its strategic partnership with Egypt in an important area of energy security.
Reuters claims that, although Rosneft does not produce LNG, it does have plans to start production alongside ExxonMobil later in the decade.
