KOGAS requests LNG cargo deferrals

According to Reuters, South Korea’s top LNG buyer, KOGAS, has requested that some of its LNG cargo deliveries be deferred.

Reuters reports that details of the cargo deferrals were not immediately available. In addition to this, it is not currently clear if these requests have been agreed to.

KOGAS has reportedly cited high inventory levels due to the coronavirus pandemic affecting downstream demand as one reason to request the deferrals.
