According to Reuters, Asian LNG spot prices have dropped to their lowest level in more than 10 years.
The cause of this decline has been due to a mild winter in both Asia and Europe. This warmer weather has meant that demand has been insufficient to consume abundant supply inventories.
The average price for an Asian LNG spot cargo, with a delivery date in March, has been reported as approximately US$4.00 per million Btu (down US$0.60 per million Btu).
