TGE Marine has announced that it has supervised gas trials of three new gas carriers, including the 30 000 m3 Hai Yang Shi You LNG carrier - the world’s largest type C bilobe tank equipped carrier. The LNG carrier has been handed over by Jiangnan Shipyard to the owner CNOOC. The gas trial has been conducted at a Chinese LNG terminal. The LNG carrier will operate at the Chinese coast line and deliver LNG to Hainan island.
The other two gas carriers are the MT Navigator Umbrio, which is the last of a series of five 21 000 m3 LEG-carriers delivered by Jiangnan Shipyard to Navigator Gas, and the 12 000 m3 LEG-carrier Happy Albatros, which has been delivered by STX to Ultragas Europe.
