TGE Marine awarded new contracts in June

LNG Industry,

This month, TGE Marine obtained a number of new contracts for the engineering and delivery of gas handling systems and cargo tanks. At the end of April the contracts for the gas handling systems and cargo tank material packages for three optional 35,000 m3 ethane/ethylene carriers were signed with Jiangnan Shipyard Group. These options were declared by Navigator Gas Ltd.

In May TGE Marine was contracted by Jiangnan Shipyard Group to supply the gas handling systems and tank packages for 4 × 21 000 m3 LEG-carriers. The ships were ordered by Pedredec Group.

The company’s strong market position for high pressure fuel gas systems was reinforced by the award of two contracts from Nantong Cosco Kawasaki Shipyard (NACKS) for the engineering and delivery of fuel gas packages including LNG tanks for two car carriers ordered at the yard by UECC (Wallenius/NYK). These ships will operate in the ECA zones of the North Sea/Baltic Sea and run on LNG as fuel.

TGE Marine’s CEO, Manfred Küver, said that the new contracts underlined TGEMarine’s leading market position in these segments. “We are extremely pleased to have been selected by NACKS as partner for its first LNG propelled ships and that these contracts lift our total order book for high pressure systems to 9 units which leads us to the top market position.”
