TGE Marine Gas Engineering has announced that it signed two contracts for one firm and one optional LNG vessel.

Under the first agreement, with STX Offshore and Shipbuilding Co., TGE Marine will design and supply the cargo handling system, LNG fuel gas system and LNG cargo tanks for a 6500 m3 capacity LNG bunker ship. The ship was ordered by Shell and is scheduled to be delivered in 2016. It will operate from Rotterdam port and serve clients operating in the Emission Control Areas (ECAs) of the North and Baltic Seas.

The second contract was signed for the 5800 m3 capacity LNG bunker ship Coralius with Anthony Veder group through the newly formed JV Sirius Veder Gas AB. The ship has been long-term chartered by Skangass and shall serve the Skagerrak, Kattegat and Baltic Sea areas from the beginning of 2017.

Manfred Küver, CEO of TGE Marine, said: “We are extremely pleased to have been selected by STX/Shell and Sirius Veder/Skangass as supplier for the gas handling system and cargo tanks […] All three currently contracted LNG bunker ship newbuildings will be equipped with a TGE gas plant which underlines our leading market position in this new segment.”
