MacGregor – part of Cargotec – has announced that it has reached an agreement to sell the majority shares of Woodfield Systems Ltd.

Woodfield provides onshore loading customers with marine loading arms for fluid transfers of crude oil, refined products, chemicals, LPG and LNG. It became part of MacGregor in January 2014, when MacGregor acquired the mooring and loading systems unit from Aker Solutions.

MacGregor claims that, due to the different clientele, Woodfield has been a standalone brand within MacGregor.

Pasi Lehtonen, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Business Development and Strategy, MacGregor, said: “MacGregor is pleased with this agreement with Woodfield management who is buying the majority of the shares of the company. The agreement supports our strategy to focus on our core business and its development.

"This move also allows Woodfield to fully concentrate on their core business and supporting their customers."

All present 60 employees will transfer with the agreement, and Woodfield will continue to provide its customers with products and services as usual.
