According to Reuters, H-Energy Pvt Ltd will delay the startup of its 4 million tpy LNG import terminal in Jaigarh, India, to 4Q19.

H-Energy is an Indian natural gas company, and a unit of real estate group Hiranandani. Originally, it planned to start full commercial operations of the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) terminal by 4Q18, but then pushed it back to 1Q19.

Reuters reports that the FSRU will be connected to the national gas grid at Dabhol via a 60 km pipeline. This is also expected to be ready by 4Q19.

Speaking on the sidelines of an LNG conference in Singapore, Chief Executive Officer Darshan Hiranandani reportedly said that monsoon rains and Indian elections have been the cause of the delayed startup.

According to Reuters, the CEO went on to say that the company is also constructing a pipeline connecting Jaigarh and Mangalore. The pipeline will be 635 km long, and is expected to be complete by 2023. Work on this project is also experiencing hold ups because of a road highway-widening project in the region.
