India’s GSPC cancels tender to import 11 LNG cargoes

According to Reuters, India’s Gujarat State Petroleum Corp. (GSPC) has cancelled a tender to import 11 LNG cargoes for deliveries across May 2020 to March 2021.

An unnamed source at the company said: “We have decided to cancel the tender and we will inform the suppliers tomorrow.”

Reuters reports that Indian gas importers are issuing force majeure notices to suppliers as a national lockdown to stop the spread of coronavirus has severely impact domestic gas demand.
