Chart Industries Inc. has released a statement announcing that it is pleased to have supported the successful commissioning and start-up of an LNG production facility jointly owned by Stabilis Energy and Flint Hills Resources.
The LNG production facility, located in George West, Texas, US, was officially opened earlier this month. The 100 000 gal./d facility features a Chart designed and built C100N Standard Liquefaction Plant, as well as 270 000 gal. of Chart supplied LNG storage capacity and load-out facility.
The plant is producing LNG for high horsepower fuel applications including drilling, pressure pumping, transportation and other oilfield and industrial fuel applications throughout the Eagle Ford Shale.
At the grand opening of the LNG production facility, Stabilis Energy CEO, Casey Crenshaw, said: "Stabilis is proud to announce the opening of our George West LNG liquefaction facility for commercial production. We offer a reliable source of LNG fuel for customers in the Eagle Ford shale and throughout Texas. Despite recent declines in oil prices, Stabilis can provide LNG fuel that is cost competitive with diesel."
