Venture Global urges regulators to approve Calcasieu Pass LNG terminal

Reportedly, the company told the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) that it is ready to start building its Louisiana-based project as soon as it receives authorisation.
According to Reuters, construction of the terminal is expected to cost approximately US$4.5 billion, and is designed to produce approximately 10 million tpy of LNG.
Venture Global added that it expects the terminal to enter service in 2022. The company expects its other 10 million tpy Plaquemines LNG terminal to enter service the following year. The latter terminal is expected to cost an estimated US$8.5 billion to construct, according to Reuters.
