The cargo was transported via the Flex Rainbow carrier, which transported approximately 64 000 t of LNG from Sabine Pass, US. The cargo was reportedly purchased from Centrica as part of a spot transaction.
Before the delivery was made, Maciej Wozniak, Vice President of the Management Board of PGNiG SA, said: “The cargo, which arrives on 12 February, is the third spot delivery this year already, and the 11th of this type since launching of the terminal in Swinoujscie. Spot contracts are the result of the work of our trading team working in London, which analyses the situation on the global market and forecasts a further increase in the number of favourable offers for LNG supplies.”
According to the statement, the next LNG delivery to the Swinoujscie terminal is scheduled for 10 March. It will be delivered as part of a long-term contract with Qatargas.
