Bangladesh set to sign first ever LNG import agreement

Reuters reports that the deal will be signed on 25 September 2017, with imports to commence next year. Under the terms of the contract, RasGas will provide 1.8 million tpy of LNG for the initial five years. Over the following 10 years, the company will provide 2.5 million tpy.
This agreement with RasGas will be Bangladesh’s first ever LNG import agreement.
