LNG Industry,
Reuters is reporting that Asian LNG spot prices have seen a rise after weeks of decline.
Spot prices for December deliveries to North Asia currently stand at approximately US$10.30 – up 10 cents from a low that has lasted in excess of two months.
Kansai Electric Powe Co. and the Tohoku Electric Power Co. Inc., both based in Japan, are just two of the companies seeking deliveries in December.
The temperature has been forecast to drop below average in the coming weeks, in both Tokyo and Beijing, leading to this renewed demand for spot cargoes.
Demand from South Asia has also spiked as both India and Pakistan are currently advertising tenders.
