According to Reuters, Cheniere Energy Inc. has already had negotiations with China with regards to increasing US LNG exports.

This follows a recent trade deal, which Reuters claims is clearing the path for a second wave of LNG investment in the US. The deal saw the Trump Administration reach an agreement with China to increase trade access for some US companies to China, which Reuters claims is expected to include LNG exports.

Eben Burnham-Snyder, a spokesman for Cheniere, told Reuters: “We’re heartened by this trade deal for its potential to increase Chinese access to American LNG.

"We have had extensive negotiations with the Chinese over the last month.”
