Linde Americas has released a statement claiming that it has made a US$100 000 donation to the American Red Cross in Southeast Texas, US, as the state deals with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

The President of Linde Americas Gases, Jen Luehring, said: “Our thoughts remain with the millions of people, including Linde employees and their families, who continue to face a long road to recovery from the unprecedented hurricane destruction in the region.

"We hope that all those impacted by the flooding and other after-effects will be able to return to their homes and communities quickly and safely. As a company, we are committed to doing our part to help."

In the statement, the company claims that it has also pledged to match donations made by its employees to the Red Cross.

The Managing Director of Linde Engineering North America, Jason Cooper, added: “As a Texas native and fellow Houstonian, it gives me great pride to see such tremendous fortitude amid this incredible devastation.

"We will continue to pull together to support our employees, neighbours and the communities in which we live and work."
