MGJV awarded Karratha Gas Plant services contract

Monadelphous Group Ltd has announced that MGJV – a joint venture (JV) between Monadelphous and Giovenco Industries Pty Ltd, a Stork company – has been awarded a new contract to perform services on the Woodside-operated Karratha gas plant life extension programme. The plant is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The gas plant includes five LNG processing trains, six condensate stabilisation units, two domestic gas trains, three LPG fractionation units, and storage and loading facilities for LNG, LPG and condensate. It has a capacity of 12 000 tpd of domestic gas.

MGJV will provide planning services, as well as mechanical, electrical access, fire protection application, blasting and painting, cladding and insulation services.

The contract is scheduled to be underway in early 2016, and will last for two years.
