McDermott, Chiyoda and Zachry Group win Golden Pass LNG contract

Golden Pass Products LLC is a JV between Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil affiliates.
Richard Heo, McDermott's Senior Vice President for North, Central and South America, said: “McDermott has extensive experience in executing major projects along the US Gulf Coast.
“We will apply not only our vertically-integrated capabilities but also some of the best practices and lessons learned for major construction projects in the region. We will also leverage the existing relationships we have with our partners and our customers to ensure that the Golden Pass project is a success.”
According to the statement, McDermott, Chiyoda and Zachry Group will execute the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of three approximately 5.2 million tpy LNG trains, with a total expected production capacity of approximately 16 million tpy of LNG. McDermott claims that work will begin in 1Q19 with completion projected for 2024.
