A Director at Petrobangla – the state-run energy company – reportedly said that the two global commodity traders “have been shortlisted out of 13 companies for two 200 million ft3/d LNG import terminals.”
The Director reportedly added that the company will open talks with both traders and deals will then be finalised.
Reuters claims that Gunvor will utilise an FSRU barge, which will be provided by Exmar. This vessel will be suitable for the shallow water conditions found at the port of Chittagong in southeastern Bangladesh, which is where both FSRUs will be deployed.
