King & Spalding has released a statement claiming that it represented Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) on its agreements with Swan LNG for an LNG terminal to be developed in Gujarat, India.

The terminal will be capable of receiving 5 million tpy, and will use a dual floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and floating storage unit (FSU) solution. The FSRU will have a tank capacity of 180 000 m3, whilst the FSU will have a tank capacity of between 135 000 and 145 000 m3.

MOL has reportedly agreed to provide the FSU, as well long-term operation/maintenance of both the FSU and the FSRU, which will be built by Hyundai Heavy Industries.

The Singapore-based team advising MOL is led by projects and energy partner Richard Nelson, and includes associates Kristian Whitaker, Christophe Vauthier and Ji Nin Loh.
