Major oil and gas companies suspending their operations in Russia could disrupt progress of key Russian projects, finds GlobalData.

Tellurian has issued a limited notice to proceed to Bechtel Energy to begin construction of phase one of the terminal, located near Lake Charles, Louisiana, US.

According to the EIA, US LNG exports averaged 9.7 billion ft3/d in 2021, increasing by 50% from 2020.

Under the 20-year SPA, NFE will purchase 1 million tpy of LNG from Venture Global’s Plaquemines LNG export facility, and an additional 1 million tpy from their CP2 LNG facility.

Venture Global LNG move forward with its Plaquemines terminal in Louisiana, US, awarding Baker Hughes a contract for a liquefaction system with 24 modularised compression trains.

The company states that there is little prospect for Europe to reduce its dependence on Russian gas in the short-term.
