AIDA Cruises takes delivery of LNG-powered cruise ship

Carnival Corp. & plc has announced that AIDA Cruises has taken delivery of the AIDAperla in Nagasaki, Japan, from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI).

The LNG-powered vessel will set sail for the Mediterranean in the next few days, and will be christened by model and presenter Lena Gercke on 30 June 2017 in Palma de Mallorca. It is 300 m long, 37.6 m wide and has a gross tonnage of 124 100 GT.
