As part of this, the company will establish a Bunker Business Office as an independent office within the Energy Transport Business Unit. It will be an organisation that purchases and prepares bunker oil and lubricant, establishes mid-term and long-term policies, and procures fuels whilst adhering to SOx regulations, etc. Furthermore, it will accelerate initiatives regarding vessels with engines that operate on alternative fuels, including LNG. In addition to this, it will take part it LNG and other fuel supply businesses in an integrated fashion. Simultaneously, the Bunkering Group of the Tanker Division will be abolished.
MOL will also transfer the group that is responsible for LNG carrier projects in Russia and China to the LNG Carrier Division, and restructure the Offshore & LNG Project Division into an organisation that takes part in efforts to grow offshore business. Accordingly, the Offshore & LNG Project Division will be renamed as the Offshore Project Division.
