The vessel is currently under construction by Zhejiang Xinle Shipbuilding in Ningbo. It will be finished under the supervision of Anthony Veder and will commence operations this summer.
Once delivered, the vessel will be given a Coral name, similar to the company’s two LNG-fuelled LEG vessels, Coral Star and Coral Sticho. Anthony Veder will be responsible for both the commercial operation and management of the ship.
Jan Valkier, CEO of Anthony Veder, said: “We are proud to add a new LNG carrier to our fleet in this relatively short timeframe and look forward to our close cooperation with Xinle Shipbuilding to finalise the vessel.
“Our company has a long history in building and delivering ships in China such as the LNG-fuelled LEG vessels Coral Star and Coral Sticho. We are excited to return to China for this latest addition to our fleet after five years of absence.”
