General Dynamics Nassco has announced that it has delivered the Constitution to SEA-Vista LLC. The Constitution is an ECO Class, LNG-conversion-ready product tanker, which aligns with the US Jones Act.

The vessel is 610 ft long, 50 000 dwt and has a 330 000 barrel cargo capacity. It is the sixth ECO Class tanker built by Nassco as part of an eight-vessel programme for two separate customers. Construction of the vessel commenced in June 2015.

Kevin Graney, Vice President and General Manager for General Dynamics Nassco, said: “With this program we contracted with two customers seeking similar capabilities. A steady production run of eight ships improves hull-to-hull learning and has allowed us to deliver increasingly higher-quality, world-class vessels.”
