Flogas announces multi-million pound investment in LNG distribution fleet

Flogas Britain has announced a new multi-million pound investment in its LNG distribution fleet, giving it the largest commercial LNG distribution fleet in Britain. This follows the announcement in November 2015 that Flogas had been awarded ‘first fill’ at the Isle of Grain LNG terminal. The company now has 12 fully trained specialist drivers, as well as a large support, technical, logistics and sales team, and dedicated LNG fleet scheduling.

The Flogas Head of LNG, Rob McCord, said: “The new fleet brings much greater efficiencies in terms of deliveries. It enables us to create hubs, and spread our trucks across the country so we are better placed to meet our customers’ needs, especially during traditionally challenging periods.

“These are exciting times for Flogas and our customers; we’ve created a specialist LNG team, have the largest fleet and most comprehensive LNG infrastructure in the country, and have designed and developed the largest LNG conversion project ever seen in the UK. On top of this, we’ve been rewarded by the largest LNG terminal in Europe.

“The new fleet will allow us to build on our current success, and continue to innovate and lead the LNG sector. However, we won’t rest on our laurels; we have aggressive expansion plans, and expect to see the fleet double over the next few years, ensuring we have a market leading LNG infrastructure for years to come.”
