Chevron and JOVO subsidiaries sign LNG supply agreement

Chevron U.S.A. Inc. – a wholly owned subsidiary of Chevron Corp. – has reached a key terms agreement with Singapore Carbon Hydrogen Energy Pte. for the delivery of LNG from Chevron’s portfolio. Singapore Carbon Hydrogen Energy is a subsidiary of JOVO – a privately owned Chinese energy company. Once the LNG sale and purchase agreement (SPA) has been finalised, it is expected that JOVO will receive up to approximately 0.5 million tpy of LNG over a five-year period. The first delivery is expected to occur in 2018.
The Executive Vice President, Chevron Midstream and Development, Mike Wirth, said: “This agreement is another important step in the commercialisation of Chevron’s natural gas holdings.
“We are positioned to become one of the top 10 LNG suppliers in the world.”
