Indian Oil holds tender for two LNG cargoes

According to Reuters, Indian Oil Corp. is currently holding a tender to purchase two cargoes of LNG for delivery in October 2016.

Reuters added that the tender will remain valid until 23 August 2016.

According to Indian Oil Corp.’s website, the company is currently implementing a 5 million tpy LNG import, storage and regasification terminal at Kamarajar Port (Ennore) near Chennai, India, through its joint venture (JV) company. The facility is scheduled to be complete in 2018, with pre-project activities currently on schedule.

Furthermore, the company is co-promoter of Petronet LNG Ltd (PLL), which has established LNG import terminals in Dahej and Kochi, India. It holds marketing rights for 30% of LNG procured by PLL, and is currently sourcing greater quantities of LNG to meet growing domestic requirements.
