Tokyo Gas to establish LNG JV in Vietnam

According to Reuters, Japan’s Tokyo Gas is aiming to establish a joint venture (JV) company in Vietnam with PetroVietnam Gas, amongst a number of other companies.

The company is reportedly planning to expand its operations into Vietnam in order to meet expected growth in demand for LNG. It will work alongside a number of local companies in order achieve its aim.

Reuters claims that Tokyo Gas will invest several hundred million yen, and secure a stake of approximately 10 – 20%.
