LNG Industry,
According to Reuters, Gail India has launched a tender to purchase six cargoes of LNG. Reuters added that the supply will be bought based on a link to Brent crude oil prices. The cargoes will be delivered in 2017.
In mid-June 2016, Reuters also reported that India had restarted discussions with South Korea, Japan, and possibly China, regarding the possibility of an LNG purchasing alliance.
At the time, the Indian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan, reportedly said: “We want to bring together the countries and form a network which can together source reasonable, rational and affordable LNG.”
