GTT awarded tank design contract by Samsung

GTT has announced that it has won an order from Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) concerning the tank design of a new 174 000 m3 LNG carrier.

GTT claims that the contract was awarded on behalf of a European shipowner. In the statement, GTT also claims that the ship is scheduled for delivery in 4Q20.

GTT’s membrane containment system Mark III Flex has been selected for the design of the tanks.
