German gas imports rise

Reuters is reporting that Germany’s gas imports have increased by 25.6% year-on-year in the first nine months of 2019.
For the period January to September 2019, Germany imported 4.1 million TJ (117 billion m3) of gas. The total bill paid by German importers was €18.6 billion, an 8.8% increase compared to the same period in 2018.
Germany is primarily supplied with gas via pipeline from Russia, Norway, the Netherlands, the UK and Denmark, however its volumes of LNG imports are increasing.
