LNG Industry,

Cargotec Corp. has announced that MacGregor – which is a part of Cargotec – has successfully secured orders for Pusnes deck machinery packages from a number of ship owners. Macgregor will handle the design, contract management and supply of all major components, with equipment deliveries scheduled for 2016 and 2017.

The majority of the deck machinery packages will be based on the Pusnes high-pressure ring-main hydraulic system, but one shipset will be based on a Pusnes frequency controlled electric system instead.

The machinery packages will be applied on different types of vessels, but all of the ships will be built by Hyundai Group and Sungdong Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in South Korea.

The vessels that the machinery packages will be applied on include: 12 very large crude carriers; four Suezmax tankers; six LPG carriers; one LEG carrier; two long-range, 75 000 dwt product tankers; and one LNG floating storage regasification unit (FSRU).
