Shenzhen Gas to launch LNG terminal

Published by , Editor
LNG Industry,

Reuters is reporting that China’s Shenzhen Gas is due to launch its first LNG import terminal in southern China.

The terminal will be fully-owned by the company and will make Shenzhen Gas the second city gas distributor in China, backed by a local government, to own an LNG terminal.

The majority of China’s import terminals are owned by state-run oil and gas companies; e.g. China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) and PetroChina.

China is second only to Japan in global LNG-imports.
