Panama Canal has released an expansion progress update video. The project, which is the largest infrastructure project since the original construction of the waterway, will see the construction of a third lane through the construction of a new set of locks. These locks will feature three chambers, water-saving basins, lateral filing and emptying systems and rolling gates. In addition to this, the navigational channels will be deepened and widened, allowing neo-panamax vessels to pass through.
