Novatek looking to speed up construction of LNG reloading facilities

In November, the US State Department reportedly said that allowing ship-to-ship (STS) transfers to be executed in Norwegian waters from Yamal (Russia) undercuts Europe’s efforts to diversify its energy supply.
According to Reuters, Mikhelson did not directly mention the US when he stated that Norway was facing pressure from other countries because of STS transfers of Yamal LNG.
In addition to this, the head of the Russian gas producer reportedly added that the company is planning to develop an LNG reloading facility located in the Murmansk region in North West Russia in 2022.
