Bestobell Marine has received a major new contract from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), South Korea, to supply globe and check valves for two new vessels. The valves will be used in vessels that are being manufactured by Gaslog. The contract also involved the design of a new smaller version of Bestobell Marine’s float level isolation valve (FLIV), which will be suitable for the monitoring floats used by HHI for its back-up cargo level gauging system.
Sales Director for Bestobell Marine, Duncan Gaskin, said: “This is a great example of our technical team working closely with a client to come up with an innovative solution that meets their requirements”.
This contract follows on from an earlier contract between HHI and Bestobell Marine regarding the supply of miniature needle globe valves.
