According to Reuters, the first commercial cargo has been delayed by the Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) project. This has resulted in additional costs for Sinopec Corp., which has had a tanker waiting to load for over two weeks.

Despite arriving at the Gladstone anchorage on 18 December 2015, the LNG tanker, BW Pavilion Vanda, has yet to load a cargo.

Reuters claims that one source said: “The plant appears to have run into teething issues.” Another source reportedly claimed that Sinopec’s extra costs may already exceed US$500 000.
