LaNaval lays keel for Living Stone vessel

LNG Industry,

Spain-based LaNaval Shipyard has announced that it has successfully laid the keel of the offshore multipurpose vessel, Living Stone. The vessel is being constructed for Tideway – a Dutch subsidiary of DEME – which signed the contract with LaNaval in January 2015.

The ship will serve the offshore energy market, and will feature a fall-pipe and rock installation system, cable/umbilical loading and installation facilities, and dual-fuel engines. These engines have the ability to use LNG as fuel, allowing the vessel operators to reduce emissions.

The Living Stone is scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2017.
