BW Group appoints new Group CFO

BW Group has released a statement announcing the appointment of Jakob Bergholdt as Group CFO. He will assume his new position on 2 January 2017.
Bergholdt has more than 16 years of experience in Asia, and has served in a number key finance positions in shipping conglomerates. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Copenhagen Business School, and an MBA (Hons) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Bergholdt commented: “I am delighted to be appointed as Group CFO of a well-respected company. I look forward to working in a company that I admire, especially since I will be based in a country I call home.”
Carsten Mortensen, the CEO of BW Group, added: “Jakob is an outstanding leader in the maritime sector with a deep understanding of shipping finance. He is an excellent addition to the BW Group leadership team, and we will count on his to help chart BW’s next phase of growth. We warmly welcome Jakob to the team.”
