SHI receives LNG carrier order

Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) has announced that it has received an order for a new LNG carrier.

According to the statement, the value of the order was approximately KRW209 billion.

The order was announced on 31 December last year. The company’s order total for 2018 therefore stands at 49 vessels and US$6.3 billion. This includes 18 LNG carriers, 13 containerships, 15 tankers and three special purpose ships.
