NextDecade receives permit for Rio Grande LNG train 6 expansion project

This important milestone allows NextDecade to maintain its intent to achieve a potential positive final investment decision for Train 6 in 2H27 as it expands its LNG production capacity.

Col. David W. Dake, Galveston District Commander and District Engineer, commented: “From the recent completion of the Brazos Island Harbor Channel improvement project, to our regulatory work supporting proposed infrastructure such as Train 6, USACE, and Galveston District remains focused on strengthening the maritime systems that move American energy and commerce. We’re committed to working constructively with industry while maintaining the environmental safeguards and regulatory standards entrusted to us, helping deliver the infrastructure needed to support national supply chains, energy dominance, and long-term economic resilience along the Texas coast.”
