Gastech 2019 announces conference schedule

The event will include three days of panel discussions and presentations from the industry’s key global leaders, addressing current gas and LNG issues while also looking to 2020 and beyond.
Director of the Gastech Governing Body, Gavin Sutcliffe, said: “For the first time in nearly two decades, Gastech is returning to Houston, the epicenter of the global energy industry and at a time when the US is cementing its position as a global leader in the export of natural gas.
According to the statement, some of the industry’s leading influencers and CEOs speaking at the conference include: Ryan Lance, Chairman & CEO, ConocoPhillips; Saad Sherida al-Kaabi, CEO, Qatar Petroleum; Meg Gentle, CEO, Tellurian; Neil Chatterjee, Chairman, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; the Honorable Sylvester Turner, Mayor of Houston; David Dickson, President & CEO, McDermott; Olivier Mussat, Chief Investment Officer, International Finance Corporation; Philippe Sauquet, President, Gas, Renewables & Power and EVP, Strategy & Innovation, Total; BC Tripathi, Chairman and Managing Director, GAIL India; and Mike Sabel, Co-Chairman, Co-CEO & Founder, Venture Global LNG.
Sutcliffe added: “The program will provide insights from government officials and industry bodies and delve into the emerging challenges and opportunities in the current gas and LNG markets. It will also look to answer key questions around topics such as a new wave of financial investments driving market buoyancy, increased demand and growing the commoditisation of natural gas.”
Gastech features a multi-streamed conference with over 180 presentations and panels with 400 speakers, a Plenary Conference, Strategic and Technical Conferences, a VIP Global Leaders’ Summit and four Spotlight Programs: Asia LNG Market Development Forum, Gas for Transportation Forum, Power & Energy, Diversity & Inclusion in Energy and Young Gastech.

According to the statement, this year’s technical conference includes 90 presentations, and features expanded content on shale resource development; renewable gases; a greater focus on emissions management and power generation; and automation, digitalisation and cybersecurity, in addition to Gastech’s more traditional coverage of gas processing and operations.
